Abstract

Los análisis de riesgo sanitario tradicionales son criticados por tener una visión fragmentada de la relación entre una fuente de peligro y el organismo expuesto, al ser espacialmente puntuales, unipersonales y monosustancia, y por no considerar otras influencias sobre la exposición, por ejemplo, modelando la tasa de ingesta. Al existir un interés creciente por modelos que integren el riesgo y los SIG, se utiliza esa plataforma para superar esas críticas en estudios sobre contaminantes en agua de bebida. Así se cartografían niveles de riesgo por polígono, complementados por un índice integrador formado por parámetros socioeconómicos que modelan la tasa de ingesta usando técnicas multicriterio. Se estima que es un aporte superador, caracterizando el riesgo de un modo más comprehensivo, sistematizable y objetivo.
